PRIVACY POLICY

BZE LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App. If you do not agree with our policies, do not use the App.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to personal data collected through the iOS and web versions of the App and any related services (collectively, the "Services").

2. Information We Collect

Account Data – Name, email address, Apple ID, profile photo provided during registration or Sign in with Apple.

Identity / KYC Data (Creators only) – Legal name, address, date of birth, tax identification number, and a scan or photo of a government‑issued ID submitted to Stripe Connect during payout onboarding.

Transaction Data – Details of Credits purchased, artwork bought or sold, payout amounts, and payment method metadata, some of which are stored in Firebase Firestore.

Device & Usage Data – IP address, device model, operating‑system version, timestamps, and crash logs automatically collected by Firebase and Apple.

We do not collect biometric data, precise GPS location, or your contacts.

3. How We Use Information

We process your data to:

  1. Provide the Services – create your account, maintain your Credits balance, facilitate purchases and payouts.
  2. KYC & Compliance – verify identity, prevent fraud, and satisfy legal obligations (Creators).
  3. Communications – send transactional emails and in-App notifications (e.g., purchase receipts, policy updates).
  4. Security & Debugging – detect bugs, monitor for abuse, secure our infrastructure.
  5. Legal & Tax – issue tax forms (e.g., 1099) and comply with applicable law. We rely on one or more legal bases: contract performance, legitimate interests, and legal obligations.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We share your information only as necessary:

  • Service Providers
    • Stripe Payments & Connect – processes card payments, holds payout funds, performs KYC and sanctions screening.
    • Google Firebase – hosts our database and authentication back-end.
  • Apple – receives limited purchase metadata as required for In-App Purchase receipts.
  • Legal / Safety – regulators, tax authorities, law-enforcement, or to enforce our Terms.
  • Business Transfers – to a successor in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. We do not sell or rent personal data.

5. International Transfers

We are based in the United States. Your information may be transferred to and processed on servers in the U.S. or other countries where our providers operate. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for EU/UK data transfers.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes above, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Transaction records may be kept for 7 years for accounting and tax.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Submit requests to privacy@bze.llc. We will verify your identity and respond within the time period required by law.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The App does not use third-party advertising cookies. Firebase may set strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and security.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that such data has been collected, we will delete it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as TLS encryption in transit, HTTPS, and role-based access controls. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes take effect 30 days after we post the revised Policy in the App or send notice by email.
